Jacksonville Landing — Original Watercolor
Jacksonville Landing — Original Watercolor
Original watercolor | 18" × 22" outside of frame | Wood and glass frame | 4 lbs
A piece of Jacksonville history, preserved in watercolor. The Jacksonville Landing — the beloved riverfront marketplace that anchored downtown for decades — is captured here in its full character: boats moored at the docks, the iconic red-roofed festival hall, the city skyline rising behind it, and a lone Christmas tree glowing on the pier. Even the artist's name, Cecil, is painted right onto the hull of one of the boats.
The Landing was demolished in 2019 and replaced by Riverfront Plaza park. This painting is one of the few original artworks that preserves it as it was — alive, bustling, and full of the energy that made it a Jacksonville landmark.
Professionally framed in wood and glass, ready to hang. Look close on the stern of a boat, you will see my signature.
